Order your domains using a smartphone app

If you want to be found on the World Wide Web, a good Internet address is crucial.  But sometimes creativity strikes when you do not have a PC readily available. To support customers who have a brainstorm while away, 1&1 developed a Smartphone app which makes it possible to order a domain anywhere and at any time.

The new 1&1 Domain Order App runs on iPhone, iPod Touch and Android-based Smartphones. Downloads are available for free from the 1&1 Homepage, www.1and1.co.uk, or from the following links:
– iOS: http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/1-1-domains/id468630810
-Android: https://market.android.com/details?id=de.oneandone.de.domainordering&hl=en

The free app is very easy to use. After downloading it from Apple iTunes or Google Android Market, a customer only needs to register with their 1&1 customer ID and password. One can order a domain swiftly and easily when on the go – for instance, while traveling to a meeting. The availability of the domain will be checked through an automatic “Who is” query integrated into the app.

1&1 Internet manages more than 11 million domains in its high performance data centres and therefore is one of the most successful domain registrars in the world. Within 1&1’s many special offers, many domains are greatly reduced in price. For example, a Top Level Domain such as .info, is available for £0.99+VAT for the first year.

Since 2000, 1&1 has been at the forefront of promoting and driving the use of the web by UK individuals and small businesses.  As a global leader amongst web hosts, 1&1 is well placed to deliver a high quality service to its customers. The company currently holds over 10 million customer contracts worldwide.
